Help & Safety

Effective 20 October 2026

Everything you need to stay safe on eResonate, and to reach a person on our team. You do not need an account to use this page.

1. If Someone Is in Danger

Contact your local emergency services first. We can remove content and close accounts, but we cannot send help.

If a child is at risk of sexual exploitation, see our Child Safety Standards for the national reporting lines.

2. Report Something

Every report reaches a person on our team. We aim to review reports within 24 hours, and we look first at reports about a child's safety, a threat of violence or an intimate image. We do not tell the person you reported who reported them. In the app, Your reports shows what happened to each report you filed; on the website, we email the outcome if you left an address.

3. Block Someone

Blocking someone removes the connection between you, stops direct messages between you, and hides their posts and messages from you across eResonate, including in group chat. It takes effect at once, and the other person is not told. Use the menu next to their post, message or profile. On the website, the people you have blocked are listed in Settings under Connections; in the app, in Settings.
