About
Built ca. 1807, the Old Franklin Schoolhouse served as a one-room schoolhouse until the 1870s, then used as a private home by an Irish cobbler. By 1901 the old school had fallen into disrepair. A civic league formed in 1901 to rescue the building and use it as a clubhouse from which to improve the local community. It remains owned and maintained by this private non-profit, the Borough Improvement League, and serves a number of community purposes. From meeting space for like-minded non-profits, space for fundraisers, concerts, performance space, private event rentals, town events, and more." Live music and events can be held any night of the week. This venue is BYOB.
