Local Bar has been a North Carolina landmark since the building originally opened as a gas station in the 1930s on a small country road in Apex. Over the years the gas pumps turned to beer taps, the small country road into US 64 and what had been The Little Bar for most of the 60s, 70s and 80s became Local Bar." They host live music on Fridays.
