The Harvey Mansion is a historic building in New Bern, NC. This major structure, both in size and finish, is a tribute to the Merchant John Harvey's taste and affluence. Through New Bern's history, merchants residences and businesses were often combined. The Harvey Mansion is the only surviving example where both were housed under one roof. Most of the other houses that were used for business and home, contained only one room as an office. John Harvey not only built an office, but storerooms and warehouses as well.
