The Old South Jamboree was started by Lester an Dee Hodges in the mid 1960's It was started as a concert hall that the entire family could come to and enjoy good country music and a family environment. Most of the great artists have performed on the stage of the Old South including Merle Haggard, George Jones, Dolly Parton and many, many others. And now, some 45 years later, although we lost Mr. Hodges a couple of years ago, his daughters and Mrs. Hodges are there for every show, just like Mr. Hodges used to be." They host concerts on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
