The Theater has become the primary venue for the Lotus World Music Festival, Indiana Universitys African American Arts Institute, and Jazz from Bloomington. National acts such as Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Joan Baez, Andrew Bird, Kimya Dawson, the Indigo Girls, Umphrey's McGee, Gillian Welch and John Mellencamp have graced the stage. Over 200 performances take place at the Theater each year, organized by more than 50 community organizations." Shows can be held any night of the week.
